1. Who we are

Storylou is an online store operated by Maison Elian, a sole proprietorship registered in Quebec (Montreal, Canada). Contact: contact@storylou.com. By ordering, you accept these terms.

2. Our books

We sell personalized illustrated books, printed to order. The illustrations are created from the photos you provide, with the help of artificial intelligence tools. The likeness depends on the quality of the photos and may vary from page to page. The images in the store are examples created from fictional children.

3. Your order

  • You must be 18 or older and have the right to use the photos and names you send (you are the parent, guardian or an authorized person).
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the name, dedication, photos and address. Please check them before paying.
  • We may refuse or cancel, with a full refund, an order whose content is illegal, offensive, infringes someone else's rights, or cannot be printed properly (for example, an unusable photo). In that case, we email you first to find a solution.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars for delivery in Canada and in US dollars for delivery in the United States. Applicable taxes and shipping costs are added and shown before you pay. Payment is processed securely by Shopify.

6. Intellectual property

The stories, texts and design of the store and the books belong to Maison Elian. The book you receive is for personal and family use; you may show and share it, but not reproduce or resell it.

7. Liability

We do everything we can to make your book beautiful and deliver it on time. Our liability is limited to the price paid for the order, except where the applicable law does not allow it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

9. Changes

We may change these terms; the version in force when you order applies.
